WINDOW / WALL UNIT
A window wall conditioner is an air conditioner that is installed into the wall of a building. One side of the unit is fully exposed to the interior room and the other side is fully exposed to the exterior outdoor space.
In a split system (unlike a window unit), the condenser is located outside the room being cooled and therefore the major sources of noise is removed. This is the most preferred unit used in offices as well as residential homes and is friendlier to the budget.
UNDER CEILING / FLOOR STANDING
Under-Ceiling air conditioners are ideal for large commercial premises, clothing stores, particularly where floor or wall space is at a premium. Under-Ceiling units are one of the most powerful models and is able to provide airflow up to 10m away making them ideal for big areas.
The most common type of ceiling airconditioning units are called 'cassettes'. They are best-suited in rooms with a false or suspended ceiling and are ideal for use in offices and retail shops. The main body of the unit is hidden within the ceiling void with just a very thin facia visible and it thus neatly 'camouflaged' into the retail or office space.
HIDEAWAY / BULKHEAD SPLIT
The Bulkhead range is the ideal choice for air conditioning areas where a discreet installation is preferred. The indoor unit fits flush into the ceiling with only the suction air and discharge grilles visible inside your home or office, leaving maximum floor and wall space for furniture, decoration and fittings.
An air curtain is a fan-powered device that creates an invisible air barrier over the doorway to separate efficiently two different environments, without limiting the access of the people or vehicles. The functioning of an air curtain is based on a high velocity jet of air that covers all openings. This unit assists the other air conditioners to cool the area more effectively as the air curtain prevents the hot air from entering the space.
ROOFTOP PACKAGE UNITS
Rooftop air conditioners are self-contained units which is usually installed on the rooftop of a commercial building. The type of unit can be for cooling only, heating only or a combination of both. Departmental stores, cinemas and supermarkets service stations are ideal buildings for this type of air conditioning.
Exposed ductwork is on the rise as a design element — and as an energy-efficient solution. Naturally, those considering vaulted ceilings or increasing headroom in their restaurant or office will need to consider what’s hidden above. Exposed Ducting can be painted to add to the design element. Spiral ducting can also be used to enhance the interior design.
An evaporative cooler utilizes water-soaked pads to cool the air. This process works because a fan pulls hot air into the unit, sending the dry air through a series of pads that helps evaporate the liquid which then blows out cool air into the room.
VRV - SYSTEMS
VRV system is a multi-split type air conditioner for commercial buildings that uses variable refrigerant flow control to provide customers with the ability to maintain individual zone control in each room and floor of a building.
Refrigeration systems work by compressing a refrigerant, then allowing it to expand. The expansion of the gas absorbs energy, cooling the evaporator coils and, indirectly, the air passed over them. This delivery air must be colder than the room set point in order to cool the room and the products it contains.
